  1. Hahaha your welcome for making sure you never slack off!!
I love organizing too!! I’m not exactly a neat person in general but I am super organized! I’ve never had chipotle but Americans seem to really like it so I want to try it some day!

    1. Yes, Chipotle is so good! their burritos are big , but now I just get burrito bowls instead whenever I do have it, because I think I think more in it. LOL.
I need to find a bigger place so I can be extremely organized.. my closet isn’t big enough anymore. I love organizing paperwork too, calms me and makes me feel like I have things orderly.

    2. Ummm this is going to sound crazy to an American but I’ve never had a burrito or a burrito bowl. I’ve seen them but I just have never had them. Mexican food isn’t really a thing here and I don’t think we even have any Mexican restaurants here (at least I haven’t heard of any!). But it sounds and looks really yummy so I will definitely try some when I go to America!
Urghh I have the same problem. My closet used to be bigger at the place I used to live in but they’re kind of small in my new house and I can’t seem to fit anything in it!
Yeah I think organising things makes me feel like I have my life together even though most of the time I really don’t😐

    3. Oh wow! — I am not learning something new again about Kenya. Ya’ll don’t have Mexican food? that is very different. Although maybe that is because there are less Spanish and Mexican ethnic groups in Kenya? 🙂

I love them, I love tacos too! Yumm 🙂

P.S that is you and I both (cheers to us for not having our lives together) lol

    4. Yeah I don’t think I’ve ever seen any Mexican or Spanish people in Kenya. At least not where I live although I think there probably are some Spanish people here but very few. I hope we get more Mexican people here who start Mexican restaurants because although I’ve only had tacos, enchiladas and chili I seriously loved them. And I made it myself so it probably didn’t taste very authentic. There are a lot more foreign people now then there used to be so maybe someday we’ll have Mexican restaurants too! I’ve seen a lot of Americans and Europeans around these days which is nice 🙂

    5. You made your own Mexican cuisine? wow. that is creative! very good job 🙂 way to hop out the box! You have a lot more Amercians and Europeans whom visit kenya? wow, I hope they are nice people for the most part and not assholes.
You should make your own Mexican restaurant! haha

    6. Haha yeah my mum loves tacos so she makes them all the time for us and I try to make some other Mexican stuff because I seriously love the flavor of Mexican food!
Yeah a lot of foreigners also live in Kenya too. I have met quite a few Americans who live here actually. One of my best friends is American! She used to live in Texas and then moved to Kenya when she was about 12/13.
I’ve been trying to convince my parents to let me start a restaurant for ages 🙄

    7. Awhh! that is awesome, my mom makes really good homemade tacos too! our moms should have a cook – off! lmao. winner feeds me tacos! lmao.

Why did you she leave Texas to live in Kenya?

Well tell them, you could end up on Ellen, lol

      Liked by 1 person

    8. Haha yes they should and we should just sit there and eat tacos till we can’t move anymore! Lol!
Her parents are missionaries so they came to Kenya as missionaries and so she came with them. I’m glad she did although I wish she had a Texas accent. I remember telling me how shocked she was when she first came here and how she hated it because she used to go to a school where teachers were allowed to hit students but then she moved to my school and now she loves Kenya and doesn’t want to come back to Texas.
Haha that may work because my parents are so obsessed with Ellen

    9. Oh wow! that is an awesome experience to be able to travel outside the country, would be a culture shock for sure. Does she plan on moving back to the states? I lived in Texas for 2 years, I wasn’t much of a fan of that particular state, outside of the summer weather 🙂

      Liked by 1 person

    10. Yeah I think most people are really shocked when they move to a different country because every country is different and I think that’s the best part about moving. I was actually talking to a Canadian lady the other day who is an ambassador so she travels a lot and she was just talking about how America is so different from Kenya and the people are quite different too and it was interesting to hear how Americans live.
I don’t think she wants to live in the US anymore because she is so used to the Kenyan life and I feel like living in Kenya is so much more relaxed and easier compared to America. But I was talking to her and she said she might want to do her Masters abroad so I told her she should come to Canada and we can stay together then because hopefully I’ll be there. She was planning to come to Texas for university but then she decided not to because she didn’t want to do her SATs and stuff.
She liked Texas and she’s been there a few times for holiday after moving to Kenya but I don’t think she would want to stay there now.

    11. Oh wow! you have met some really nifty people, this is awesome! I wish I knew more wordly people, but I suppose blogging allows for me to in a way.
Yes, SATs, are not fun and are difficult for most, I had to take SATs too, and I believe I even had to take the ACT as well (same thing but different questions and some Universities ask for it)
That would be fun if you guys ended up going to same University, that would probably make things easier since you know one another.

    12. Yeah there are a lot of people in Kenya who are really interesting. Plus I meet most of them because of my mum. Like we were invited once to have a stall at this UN thing for Asian countries which was really fun and met lots of people there.
Yeah SATs seem like such a drag. People from my school who wanted to go to the US applied and apparently most of them didn’t do very well.
Yeah that’s what I was telling her. It would be really nice and would make things easier.

    13. Yeah. I don’t know why but once you finish high school it feels so long ago like it was a different life time or something. At least to me that’s what it feels like right now even though I just graduated last year

      Liked by 1 person

    14. Yes, it does feel so long ago for me. I graduated high school in 2010, so I feel old and I feel like time went by so fast since then, like everything seemed to just pass me by.

      Liked by 1 person

    15. 2010 isn’t that long ago! But I know what you mean it feels like time just goes by so fast after high school. I feel like all through high school I dreamt of finishing high school and now that I’m done I just feel confused in a way

      Liked by 1 person

    16. Yes it is very long ago, lol. I was just a young grasshopper during those days!

I was lost after high school too, I knew I wanted to go to college but had no real plan.

      Liked by 1 person

    17. Yeah I’m literally the opposite. I have everything planned out and ready. I don’t know why but I seriously love planning everything out and although I was confused for a while I’m finally sure of what I want now. And picking majors wasn’t difficult because there are very few subjects I’m good at 😜

      Liked by 1 person

    18. Lol not really. I know the basics of most subjects but apart from the social sciences I have just never been good at any other subjects. Probably because I never spent any time working on them because I was only interested in a few subjects and only worked hard at them.

    19. This makes sense. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses in school. My strength throughout high school and college was my English and composition courses, history I wasn’t terrible at. I always had issues with math and sciences.

      Liked by 1 person

    20. Yeah I was always good at pretty much all the social sciences. I like that they leave you room to include your own thoughts and I liked the essay format of the exams (at least that’s how it was in the English system I don’t know if you guys had the same in the US). Plus most social sciences don’t have like a fixed correct answer which I liked. That’s why I think I was bad at maths and sciences because they always had fixed answers and most of the time I was totally oblivious as to what the answers were. I think maths and sciences are only for some people and some personality types because I’ve heard a lot of people tell me they were never very good at them

      Liked by 1 person

    21. This makes sense. Maybe that is also why I was not good at Math or science (because it doesn’t leave much room for more than one answer) although there was usually more than one way to get the answers, but again, I never really understood them. It could also be that I am “not good at numbers” – I have heard of people saying this. For some reason, math stressed me out and science was fun with the experiments we did and the learning but it was very hard because again it required some math and some logic and maybe I am not an all logic kind of thinker.
Social sciences kind of reminded me of my Philosophy class I took in college, it was very open minded (not saying all professors would be) but mine was and he allowed you to believe what you wanted with your own explanation (there wasn’t necessarily a right or wrong answer) it more of “could you justify your answer and why you believe in it” kind of thing and I liked that.

      Liked by 1 person

    22. Yeah I feel like science and math is fact based and not everyone is good at fact based subjects because you have to be logical and rational. Math really stressed me out and gave me a few bruises. I was quite good at it before but towards the end of Junior High it just got tough and to be honest I had a teacher who didn’t really explain or teach well so I ended up not understanding much and getting lost.
Yeah the sciences were kind of fun with the experiments but were a little dangerous because our school didn’t have safety gear and we almost set something on fire once.
Yeah I feel like Philosophy teaches you about life and how to live and it really opens up your mind. I’ve always liked Philosophical books. It’s nice of your professor to not really define what’s right or wrong and let you believe what you believe in without judgement.

      Liked by 1 person

    23. Exactly. In college I had a horrible math professor, failed his math class, then decided to take the math class online instead and passed it. Sometimes the teachers do make a difference in whow well you understand something.

Wow, you didn’t have safety gear? – Yikes! We were always told to have proper gear on during ours, except when we dissected things & yes, I read some philosophy books during rhe class, they were interesting.

      Liked by 1 person

    24. Yeah the teacher definitely makes a difference especially for subjects you’re not naturally good at anyway because if your foundation for the subject is weak you’ll just end up completely confused which is kind of what happened to me.
Yeah the school I went to was a little shabby so we didn’t really have much safety gear but no one really got hurt or anything so far so I guess we kind of just learnt to be careful. I did accidently ruin a friends book once though and almost set it on fire by mistake which was kind of scary.
I like reading philosophical books because even if you don’t always agree with the writer it’s still interesting to think of things in a new way. And it kind of broadens your mind too

      Liked by 1 person

    25. Haha I had been telling her to keep her stuff away from the ethanol because it’s probably going to spill because we were pretty incapable of doing any experiment right and it did spill and her book started to kind of get on fire but we stopped it really fast. She had to get a new book though because this one was messed up

  2. Wonderful as always ! My word you have a massive amount of awards, and still you always find something different to say. I am learning a lot about you Shay-lon. Pen and pencil, so interesting, and I can just imagine you as a little girl dancing in front of the TV, must have been cute 🙂 Hey, I don’t have a sweet tooth either, definitely savoury over sweet for me. (Hahaha I am not a dentist’s best friend ) x

    1. Lynne,
Thank you. I think this is why I do the awards, because it forces me in a way to expose more things about me and when I get tot he point where I think I have said all I need to say about who I am and what my interest are, I then explore new things – and learn new things about myself.
I sometimes get stuck repeating myself on some of these awards but I try to include at least one thing that is different.
Yes, for some reason, as I started to get older, I much preferred to write in pen, but when I was younger I would ONLY write using mechanical pencil, number two pencils annoyed me. lol.

Yes, I still love to dance, it didn’t stop. Although I am not so much dancing in front of the TV any longer. I would choose savory over sweet as well 🙂
