Using a Medicine Ball for Exercises

medicine ball workout

Hey lovely bloggers, I wanted to share some cool workouts one can do using a medicine ball. I love using medicine balls, they are portable, come in a variety of weights, can be inexpensive, can be DIY (created yourself), and can be used to make a movement more advanced.  Many people may overlook the usage of a medicine ball and the powers it can unleash when used correctly for your workouts, I think because people assume that lifting weights has to be with a dumbbell, barbell or kettlebell, that medicine balls cannot get the job done, but honestly if you have ever lifted a heavy medicine ball.. you will KNOW it can get the job done! I tell people, don’t knock it until you try it.. because you never know, you may end up liking it & this saying goes for don’t bash using medicine balls until you have given them a chance, because who knows.. it could be your new go to exercise equipment and in the fitness industry, it is a plus to have variety and know variety; especially as a professional. I don’t believe in eliminating options, because what doesn’t work for you, could work for a client. I won’t be able to talk about all the exercises using a medicine ball can accomplish, but I will name a few and hopefully you will give it a shot.  For those of you who have used a medicine ball, share your opinion of them, if you haven’t used a medicine ball; does this sound like something you would want to try in the future for workouts? Would love to hear all of your opinions and feedback 🙂

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct. I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 8+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL. My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.
