“trying something new , challenges you for change” -Shay-lon Moss
I don’t want to keep track of my calorie intake, my water consumption, the amount of activity I partake in, the type of exercise, the maintenance of my body (weight/height), the types of food I indulge in, and make myself feel worse when I go over the goal for today because I probably don’t want to face my fear and find out what I am doing wrong because that means I’ll have to change it & what If I fail? What if I can’t afford a healthier me? What if life happens and I forget to keep track? What if I find out I am overweight/underweight? What ifs aren’t good, because they go nowhere and keep you from everything. Instead try this “I am”, “I can”…

I loved the last paragraph… I tested one out for a company a while ago and they absolutely work…. It’s a lot like marriage though. I got out of it what I put into it. Great post.

Jim,
Thank you! That is quite cool that you had the chance to test one out for a company! Do you currently still use it? or have you decided you no longer need it?
Definitely, most people don’t like them a lot of times because they are time-consuming (which is true) but at the same time they help to point out for your weaknesses and flaws. It can be helpful aid, nothing that needs to dictate your life.

I actually liked it quite a bit. It wasn’t too cumbersome (time wise) and it was quite easy to use. I just grew tired with all of the data. I was tracking every ride at the time, plus the fitness/diet app… Eventually I didn’t stick with it only because I didn’t need it.

MyFitnessPal was huge for getting my diet on track. I used the Nike app at first, then Zombies Run. I also used Wahoo Fitness on the bike. Now I just use Runkeeper.

It just coincided with my journey. When I started Nike had good iPhone and shoe integration. Then I was looking for more motivation so Zombies Run came along. Then I wanted something that was more detailed and I ended up with Runkeeper. Runkeeper also worked with Apple Watch.
Wahoo was only for my bike. It tracks speed, distance, and cadence. But it’s phone dependent and I don’t use it when racing so I just removed it.
