Real Neat Blog Award!

real-neat-blog-award

I am not sure if this a dream or reality, because it was just last night I was up late doing an award that I was nominated by from my dear blogger friend PoojaG, now I am nominated once again after waking up. LOL. This seems unreal, and partly funny because I go to bed with an award and wake up with one. I feel like I am accepting Grammy’s now, let me not get too carried away but seriously this blows my mind! Thank you my dear blogger friend PoojaG for nominating me for an award, one I have never done before, and one that I seen is your first time as well! I appreciate your support on my blog, and I appreciate your positive vibes on your blog, I would recommend giving her blog a look, maybe even set up a tent and stay the night there, because she has made tons of people followers, I mean seriously, it blows my mind. She started around the same time as me in blogging and let me tell you, she is taking the blogging world by the handles and running with it, I am proud of her for how far she has come, keep up the good work!

RULES are as follows:

  1. Put the award logo on your blog.
  2. Answer 7 questions asked by the nominator.
  3. Thank the person who nominated you.
  4. Nominate any number of bloggers you like.
  5. Let them know you nominated them. ( By commenting on their blog)

The answers to the questions given to me are:

  1. If you could change something in the past, what would it be and why?  This is a good question, a real good question. I have skeletons in my closet like the next person and some of mine come with demons as well. I have many things I could name and wish I had done differently, but one thing that stands out to me, is I wish I had not chosen to make fun of this girl in 6th grade, I wish I didn’t make her feel less of a person, ugly, make light of her family’s hardships and put her through hell in the name of making me feel better about who I was and being “popular”. I wish I hadn’t laughed at her when she talked about being poor with no TV , I wish I had not made light of her clothes when I knew where she got them from, I wish I didn’t put her down in front of others, I wish I could have been a bigger person and stood up for her when my friends and surrounding people called her names and talked really horribly about her. I wish I didn’t feel like I had to fit in with people to be validated, after all the hell I put her through, all the shit she endured, she chose to still be nice to me, to still talk to me the same and to still smile, at the end of the year, she ended up handing me a picture of a dove that she had drawn (she was a damn good artist), she told me she was moving away and let me know that she was happy to know someone like myself, even if it made her hate herself, she knew I had good in me. I have to say this is probably one of the hardest things I had to type because thinking about it brings me to tears. If I could see her now, I would give her a million sorry’s and let her know that I paid the price and had to endure the same pain she felt from me from others, and it hurts and that no one should have to go through it.
  2. What is your favorite genre of music? Hmm, I am not sure much anymore, it changes and depends on the artist. I venture out sometimes and find music I like in different genres.
  3. If you could spend a day in the past with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? I would say one of my aunts that died when I was a baby, I never got to know her and would have loved to meet her now.
  4. Where is one place you want to travel to before you die? I think Greece would be fun, but if we are talking about within the states, I would say Cali, Florida and New York City
  5. Who is your biggest inspiration? I don’t have one. I tend to like different people for the significance  they played in my life, the changes they made in the world that were positive.
  6. Who is your favorite Author? Oh here we go, i used to be a HUGE book reader but since 8th grade, I haven’t paid much attention to books. I don’t know who would be my favorite author these days, as I haven’t read much of anything, and as a kid I don’t remember whose books I would read a lot of. I was kind of a weirdo, and read many books that people didn’t care about. 😛 Lmao. I was THAT kid. Um, to be honest, I like the book the Great Gasby (also love the movie), Huckleberry Finn, I know why the Caged Bird Sings, 50 shades of grey was decent, a child called IT, to Kill a Mockingbird, the Lovely Bones – just to name a few but I also enjoyed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.
  7. What is your favorite Color? Blue.

  1. Rather live in the country side, or city life?
  2. Do you like being on airplanes? why, or why not?

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct. I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 8+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL. My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.

    1. Haha,
Well I only do as many as the person who nominates me. If they do 10, I will do 10, if they do 3 , I will do 3. I like to be consistent and I try to choose new people whenever I nominate, mostly random choices 🙂

      Thank you!

  1. Hahah thanks for the shoutout and be expecting a Grammy nomination soon 😆😂
I really loved reading your answers especially the first one. It takes a big person to admit they were wrong and to want to apologise. It really shows how far you have come since then 🙂

    1. Well we have all done things we are not proud of but feeling sorry about them is what differentiates us from the truly bad people.
Haha yup hopefully Lady Gaga is presenting them!

  2. Smile at the camera darling!! 😉

Don’t hit yourself over the head because of #1. I used to be pest to someone as well and put turds in their bike bags…let’s just say that karma is a fickle bitch; in the end, it always comes back to you, and I happen to have watched your videos on body shaming last week and you paid for it alright *hugs*. I’m sorry you never got to know your aunt. I bet she was a wonderful person as well!

And now to the non-serious part. 50 Shades of Grey a decent book? DAMN GIRL!!! XD XD

    1. Bahahahahah! wow! lol you seriously did that to someone’s bike bag? That is both mean and HILARIOUS! why does your mean have to be funny! Lmao.

Did you like the book 50 shades of grey? I figured my book list would be of interest to you 😛 there are other books, I failed to mention.

    2. Yes XD. I forgot to add the word ‘dog’ to it. They were dog turds that I collected off the streets in plastic bags. Not that you’re thinking I’m totally crazy and took a dump in someone’s bike bags myself. As if! 😉 Hahaha, no, it’s seriously one of the worst fucked up love stories out there! XD But you’re damn right it was ❤ Just no 50 shades, lol. Unless you really liked it, of course, I respect everyone's opinion! :3 (unless you're a member of IS 😉 )

  3. Congrats my friend, you certainly do have quite a collection there of awards. What great answers 🙂 Shay-lon we all have skeletons in our closets, but I have to say it takes an amazing woman to admit to something like that for all to see. You have come a long way, and that all has to do with maturity. That girl that you were not nice to, she saw the good in you. It is a pity you can’t track her down.
    Have a wonderful day 🙂

    1. You know something Lynne, I think if I had seen her face now, I would remember it but I don’t remember her name. It is a shame, but I hope one day we shall meet again on different terms 🙂
