Watch my video explaining the advice I received from someone and my thoughts around the idea. This maybe just interesting enough to grab your attention and ladies feel free to share your thoughts as well.

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct.
I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 8+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL.
My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.

I watched the video! Just do you. You’ve got this. At the end of the day, your brand is a reflection of you. You have to be able to sleep at night with what you put out there. I think it is perfectly acceptable to set those boundaries and say that just isn’t me!

Oh wow! well thank you for watching, the title is what made you watch , huh! hahaha 🙂 I am starting to become more clever but no, seriously. That is a very good point, very good point indeed. I feel like no matter how comfortable I am in my body and while I may not be a saint and dress modest 24/7, I don’t think every female needs to go that route in order for people to respect her or give her a chance to prove herself. I never wanted my channel to be about my body and sex appeal and flashing myself in front of a camera. While it does work and sex appeal sells, I think it gives off the wrong feedback – well the wrong kind of feedback for myself. Now what I do behind cameras is really my business, but that is because I am not showing myself to the whole damn world. I find that I don’t mind women who choose to go that route but to make one feel like their knowledge is bullshit until they have proven their beauty is what pisses me off about this industry at times.

Ha. Between the title and the picture, I knew something wasn’t quite right. Making sure you were good! A woman’s worth and value should never be about her body, no matter what industry she is in. Keep doing you!

Awh! thanks for checking in on me , that means a lot. Clearly you pay attention to signs! I couldn’t agree with you more on the whole our body shouldn’t be the basis of value. Thank you for being awesome and understanding of my choice and situation:D

Sex will always sell, because men (and women) will ALWAYS be buying. It’s okay, of course, if we don’t want to play the game but there’s a reason you put that (copyrighted) naked woman front and center.
Click bait.

Well she is being used on a site i pay for to get uncopyrighted material, so it is possible they made a huge oppsey, but that isn’t my fault. I might use a different photo and let the copy know in case it was a mistake , it not.. then I probably will continue to use it if they tell me it is okay.
Otherwise, yes, I do realize that sex sells but it isn’t the that part that really means anything to me.. it is was the reasoning behind his remark and/or advice that bothered me about this whole thing.

No, I made an assumption that you ripped it when I didn’t see a credit. My apologies.

It is okay Jim. I wouldn’t want to steal someone’s half nude picture unless it was allowed through an appropriate photo site. I am not that kind of pervert, lol

I wasn’t going there, but okay. 😉

I used her picture to go along with the topic I was speaking of in my YouTube video, the title and picture go along well. I didn’t use her picture to grasp someone’s attention then talk about cereal consumption, I try to find photos that match my topics so that it all makes sense. I wouldn’t use any old picture unless I couldn’t find one.. which has happened.

Ah, a photo of a valedictorian would have better matched the topic. This is all good with me though. You don’t have to justify yourself to me. All I’m saying is I didn’t marry my wife because she was smart. That was a bonus and part of the whole… On the same token, if she’d have been a ditz I’d have passed, so there is validity to your topic, even from a guy’s perspective.

Well we have people who base things off personality only and people who base things off looks and people who don’t have types, but hey.. who am I tell you what should attract you or anyone else. I personally have qualities I look for as well, and I don’t think nudity and sex appeal are bad, I just don’t think the email I received made a valid point in devaluing my knowledge and smarts so that I only get subs from my body and my beauty, I didn’t graduate college to not be able to talk about things I know and have learned, and I am not pursuing a career in modeling so.. I don’t think me having sex appeal on my YouTube channel would make any sense. lol

Interesting timing with this one since I had a long conversation with someone about women working in strip clubs. Some people see it as empowering and others as demeaning.

Wow! did you seriously have this conversation with someone? that is interesting timing, lol. I seriously only did this video because of the email I received from someone, but I wanted to talk about this topic on YouTube at a later time but this email made it happen early. I don’t see nudity as demeaning but it doesn’t mean I have to be stupid in order to have a nice body, like devaluing my knowledge and smarts because of my body being “sexy” is what upset about this whole damn thing in the first place.

I get it. I’m not really sure what the best way to look at it since it can change depending on how I feel and the situation at that time.

Yes, this is true. I can understand that.

Your channel should grow and develop in ways that suit you. Utilize resources which inspire you but doesn’t try to change you.
YouTube has a Creator Academy with courses from branding, storyboarding, and production skills. The lessons are short and designed so final video products reflect what you put into them: yourself.
