International Women's day

Happy Women’s Day Ladies 🙂

Tell me what “women’s day” means to you?

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct. I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 8+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL. My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.

  1. Obviously I’m not a lady, but in general, I’m glad to live in an era where I don’t have to feel threatened that my wife is going to be the breadwinner when she finishes grad school. Or that she doesn’t have to defer to my opinions on politics, philosophy, psychology, etc. We are equals, and it horrifies me to know that in the not-so-distant past, women were considered a husband’s “property.” No doubt there are plenty of men who would like things to return to that archaic culture, but now they’re in the minority, and will eventually be gone from the face of the earth.

    1. I like this, I love that a male figure decided to comment on this post because even thought you are not a woman, it doesn’t make your opinion any less important on international women’s day 🙂

I believe there are men who would prefer the old school make her my property and some that might live that lifestyle now within their homes, but I am pleased to see that more people are going away from that lifestyle and are treating their partners as an equal. 😀

  2. This day is for all the amazing women out there who fought sexism and racism so that we can live the way we do and for all the women who continue to fight these so that women can have true equality. And the women who do the things that go unnoticed but without which we would fall apart.

    1. Very good PoojaG 🙂 Agree, and I believe this day also signifies that we are stronger than what we get credit for, that we are smarter than what we get credit for and that our beauty is different and unique to each individual but when we stand together as women, our differences become our strengths in numbers 🙂

    2. Yes absolutely! We have to work so much harder than men to get things they get so much more easier but like you said if we stick together and work together we will finally be appreciated and hopefully treated equally.
