365 days of self discovery: day 10

What is your favorite song? What does it mean to you?

Honestly, I love music, It matches my mood when I listen to a certain song. Depending on how I feel, will depend on what I listen to, I don’t think I have one favorite song, but I do have favorites that I listen to more than others or that have significance to my life in some way. I’ll keep the list somewhat short because it’s constantly growing & hopefully some of you will share some of the same likes for the songs listed.

In no particular order:

  1. Ally Hills – “wrong”
  2. Lana Del Rey- “gods and monsters”
  3. Lana Del Rey” – Young and beautiful”
  4. Lana Del Rey- “Born to die”
  5. In this moment- “whore”
  6. Skid row- ” I remember you”
  7. Linkin Park- “one more light”
  8. Luke Combs- “Hurricane”
  9. Thomas Rhett- “Marry me”
  10. Prince- “doves cry”
  11. Melanie Martinez-“Pity party”
  12. Melanie Martinez- “dollhouse”
  13. The 1975- “somebody else”
  14. Gwen Stefani- “4 in the morning”
  15. Melanie Martinez- “Mrs Potato head”
  16. Halsey- “Hopeless”
  17. Daya- “new”
  18. Bryce Vine- “Drew Barrymore”
  19. Jose Gonzalez- “Stay Alive”
  20. Auli’ i Cravalho- “How far i’ll go” (Moana movie) Disney movie

I do listen to rap and hip hop as well, but most of the songs don’t hold meaning to me, which is why I didn’t list any of them, they are usually to get me pumped up, dance to, or have a good time to. There are a few love songs that I like listening to as well that I didn’t list because they are for more intimate settings, lol. Most of the time, I enjoy songs that can help me to get my thoughts and emotions out & obviously if I can relate to it, like the beat and chorus, etc. Many things go into me liking a song, so the ones on the list I probably have listened to more than 100 times each and enjoy but as I have mentioned before, there are more songs that I haven’t listed that I enjoy as well.

Share what your favorite song is, or songs. Let me know why & feel free to follow & like the page!

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct. I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 7+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL. My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.

  1. Check you out with the Skid Row! One of my favorite bands! I’m a fan of the harder stuff (Monkey Business, Youth Gone Wild) but it was cool to see them make your list.

Personally, I’m a MASSIVE Korn fan.

    1. Korn is always a good rock group 🙂 nice mention and yes love skid rows song, one of my favorites, it has personal meaning to me and a great song to listen to on a long drive. I guess my playlist is very everywhere, lol but I like listening to music that does something to me. I am happy we both enjoy this band! I knew we had something in common! ha.
