Pets & Fitness (Infographic)

So I am not sure how many of you have pets, particularly dogs, but I love them!I came across this infographic from PuppySpot on how dogs can be great to add to your workouts.  I don’t have any pets as of yet, but my family does (a rat terrier) and while it would be awesome if the little thing would allow me to hold him long enough to do strength workouts, he makes for a great running partner and walking partner for sure. Not to mention it is said that dogs can really increase your dopamine levels, so if you are having a sad or upsetting day, a dog can come handy (unless you are allergic of course). Anyways, I hope all of you enjoy this infographic as much as I have and use it to your disposal.

You can assume I have a love for fitness & a love for Wonderwoman -- both assumptions are correct. I am an ACSM certified personal trainer of 8+ years -- I currently reside in Ohio and live a simplistic life at the age of 29. If I am not lifting, I am eating, sleeping, traveling, exploring, or movie watching. I recently moved during a pandemic, now I am focused on self care (self love), building a business of my own in personal training, becoming a professional blogger, starting a podcast and doing things that make me happy! I am a sister, daughter, and loyal friend --- I love everyone's dog and I am on a mission to pet as many dogs as possible everywhere I go! LOL. My mission is to talk health (physical/mental), design programming, motivational speak, learn, grow, prosper, build others and make as many people smile as possible because I want nothing more than to be the change I seek in the world.

  1. Nothing like a dog to get you up and moving. 🐕 I’ve also recommended and written referral letters for pets as emotional support animals. I don’t have a dog either I’m not home enough to give it the care and attention. Maybe one day.

    1. Yes, I was just telling another reader how dogs come handy because they are so active and can keep on their feet and moving 🙂 love that aspect of them.
I know a few people who have used their dogs and trained them for emotional support, I think it is wonderful 🙂 honestly.
I hope to have a dog one day too!

  3. I have three dogs, and they are amazing, and full of energy!
I do see periodically around here people jogging with their dogs, I worry about the dogs pads on the paws, this cannot be good when jogging/running on the road tar !!!

    1. 3 Dogs!?! oh goodness, you can never have enough! I love dogs so much 🙂 what kind of dogs do you have?
Also, I thought about the whole paws on tar thing and I guess it would be somewhat like how the road isn’t good for our feet either but I am not sure for dogs, something for me to look into.

    2. Mine are all rescues, a cross lab, a weirmaraner, and a terrier mix. All girls, it just happened that way. All amazing, with the most unique personalities.
Yes, Shay-lon , their pads on the tar is a concern for me, also when the road is hot, that cannot be pleasant for their pads….we have to wear running shoes to protect our feet, what protects their pads?
