Black tea with milk and ginger? never heard of that mix, but will give it go. Do you heat the milk and use fresh ginger? sounds like a very interesting mix.
Yes, too much tea can be somewhat bad, I have heard it is hard on people’s teeth if they drink too much of it, but that is like most things, moderation is key.

Pretty much each day I make a mix of green tea, white tea, hibiscus tea (wild berry zinger), and rooibos tea with fresh ginger and lemon. Apparently white tea’s anti-oxidants shoot way up when you put lemon with it. Also, rooibos is supposed to decrease cortisol. The main problem with many of these teas is they can be hard on the teeth.

Brad,
You are a tea drinker yourself? didn’t know this! lol wow , haven’t had many of these teas on the list. I wasn’t a fan of green tea a long time ago, so may give it a go again to see if my taste buds have changed or if I can possibly find one that I enjoy. I didn’t realize you drank so many different kinds! lol, this is cool!
I will be taking a look at your link as well.

Oh no, I’m not a real tea drinker and I agree that green tea is nasty. I only drink that mix because it’s supposed to be good for me and usually it just goes into a smoothie so I can’t taste it.

Oh! 😦 I thought you were! darn you. lol.
You add tea to smoothies, never heard of that before, interesting concept though.

Yummm :):) I have never heard of or tried Chaga tea before now! I usually have a cup of tea a little bit after dinner bc it helps me relax & it has become a routine now. I also love chamomile, but my favorite is fresh ginger 😃

Seems like many people love the ginger tea? how do you make yours?
I have never heard of chaga tea either, honestly I haven’t had many of these teas before. Chamomile is so good! especially with honey and vanilla 😀 yumm! good twist and very good tasting.

I just use the fresh ginger root for tea. I cut off a half inch to one inch piece (depending on width) & peel it, and then slice it. Add hot water & it’s done! Yesss & chamomile knocks me right out lol

Oh okay, I have never used fresh Ginger before, why do you peel it? can you not use the skin? I am learning something new about this plant. lol.
Also , why does chamomile knock you out?

Chamomile tea is one of those relaxing teas that really has an affect on me, I guess! And I peel the ginger because I think it tastes better, plus it’s really quick to peel. You will like the fresh ginger if you really like the stronger flavor of ginger — it is a little spicy :))

Spicy tea? that is an odd one, never had a spicy tea. Are you still chowing down on the kettle chips we love! hahaah

Why those two teas in particular?do you add anything to them or drink them plain?

No particular reason other than that is what little I have tried. Lol. I add agave honey to them.

Oh alright, just was curious! I LOVE adding honey to my teas too! (truth be told, I could eat a whole bottle of honey with no issues) lmfao

Lol. You ever look into agave it has a glycemic index of only 11.

Okay first of all I just have to say I LOVE tea! My favorite tea is probably the original Kenyan Chai (not the one that comes in tea bags though) and I have never had tea anywhere that I’ve liked more. My second favorite is chamomile tea because it’s so relaxing and it helps with my anxiety. I like Earl Grey too 🙂

Wow! YAY! we both love tea 🙂 do prefer cold tea or hot tea?
Chai tea? I have had a Chai tea but it was a tea bag and very interesting tasting, definitely different (wasn’t a huge fan of it) lol. How do you make your Kenyan chai tea?
Yess chamomile tea is soo good, especially with honey 😀 omg! ha. Having some right now, about to make another glass actually. I have heard of Earl Grey, we sell it inside the stores! didn’t know you had Earl Grey tea there too?! wow.

I don’t really mind it hot or cold. But I think I like chamomile and chai better hot.
Yeah Chai is completely different from the usual tea most people are used to. I don’t think Chai abroad tastes as good as the one we make at home because I’ve tried it at a bunch of places and I haven’t liked it anywhere else. We use the grinded and dried tea leaves itself instead of using tea bags and we make it with milk not water.
Yeah we have a crazy amount of types of tea here because I guess people in Kenya just really like tea. My friend is obsessed with peppermint tea. And my sister loves ginseng tea. I used to love raspberry leaf tea but I’m kind of over it now. Earl Grey is I would say closest to Kenyan Chai than any other types of tea I’ve had.

Okay! then I will try Early Grey and see what I think then!
Never had ginseng tea either. What is that one like? I haven’t had peppermint tea, but I am not sure if I would like it too much.
Why are you over rasperberry leaf tea? lol did you drink it alot?

Yeah try Earl Grey with milk and sugar/honey. It tastes pretty good that way.
Ginseng tea is kind of strong in my opinion but it’s really refreshing especially in cold weather. It just warms you up.
I’m not a very big fan of peppermint tea. I mean it’s okay but not great.
Hahah yeah I drank a lot of it plus I drank it while I was sick so now it just reminds me of being sick so I’m definitely over it.
Do you like tea hot or cold? And what’s your favorite place to go have tea?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh still add milk to it? lol that is odd, do you add water too, or no?
I am not a big fan of strong teas, normally but it ginseng would be something I could try as well.
Oh it helps with colds? didn’t know this! will keep in mind.
I like both, but it depends on my mood, I normally drink hot tea but if it is cold, I like it very sweet 😀 lol.
I drink tea at my house, LOL — yep i am that boring! xD

Yeah like add water to it and a little bit of milk. Try it with a little milk first because you may not like it if you’re not used to having milk in your tea.
Yeah I don’t like my tea very strong either but ginseng just has quite a strong flavour. It’s like an Asian tea and it’s really good for your immune system and stuff.
I don’t know why but I’m really not a fan of sweet tea. Haha I guess I’ve never really had it like that and I don’t like sweet things in general so I prefer it without honey/syrup.
Hahaha I usually drink tea at home too. I hardly go out to have tea.

Ooo, you know so much about teas, lol. Not a fan of sweet tea?! no way! that is the best hahaahha, because it is so sweet! I don’t like sweets typically but sweet tea is soo good! some think it is too sweet and makes one more thirsty! lmao

Hahah yeah I weirdly know way too much about tea lol😂
Yeah I really don’t like sweet tea. Like I literally can’t drink my mum makes because she likes it really sweet and I really don’t like sweet tea at all. Hahah maybe people started putting sweeteners into tea to makes themselves more thirsty

Maybe your mom is cool like me and likes sweet tea! lol. Maybe you should listen to your mom and drink it! lol Maybe sweet tea gives us powers, you won’t know unless you drink it! lmao
