365 Days of Self Discovery: Day 113

12.24.18

Do you display self destructive behavior?

  • No, not that I am aware of. Although, I feel as though some may feel as though I might because of the fact normally when I talk about myself; it is with a joke or pun, maybe even making light of a flaw I have, someone wouldn’t probably think twice about it unless they noticed a pattern & I wouldn’t say in every conversation, I do this, but I would say I have done it and that it happens without me realizing it sometimes. It is almost like I make a negative comment about myself but form into a joke so that it doesn’t seem so negative (weird, I know) but otherwise, I don’t feel as though I display destructive behavior. I am learning to be more confident and build on my self worth / self esteem so that when I do talk about myself it comes off rather positive instead.
Are you someone who displays self destructive behavior knowingly or unknowingly?

365 Days of Self Discovery: Day 112

12.23.18

Are you good at organizing your time? How could you improve?

  • For the most part, I am good at time management because I use daily/monthly planners that assist with keeping up with my task, events, and daily activities & I also have a dry erase board calendar that hangs on my wall in my bedroom (that I need to start utilizing — a friend made it for me). I like utilizing these resources because without them I would be lost, however, I do feel that I need to still improve my time management skills because I want to be more precise about utilizing my time, and being sure that within the 24 hours of time I have allotted, I can stay productive & keep from overwhelming myself with too much on my plate. I need help with better managing my time so that I get enough sleep throughout the day as well — because living on 2-3 or sometimes 4-5 hours of sleep isn’t ample if I want to be efficient and functional at my best. I will need to google some time management skills/resources that might be helpful or use Pinterest to give me some creative ideas in ways to stay organized with my time & become less stressed and overwhelmed doing so.
How is your time management skills, are you good at organizing your time? if no, how can you improve? If this is one of your strengths, share how you go about organizing your time, would love recommendations: apps, creative DIYs, videos, etc that could be useful in helping myself and others.

365 Days of self discovery: Day 111

12.22.18

What do you need to make more time for?

  • Myself. Taking myself places (vacationing, traveling, spas, day trips, weekend trips, etc) spending time doing things I enjoy doing and getting away from the mundane life that I live in & taking more time on myself, doing things for me that I haven’t done or don’t do often enough. The “me” time I need is the kind that allows me to relax mentally — not feel so rushed or in a hurry constantly.
  • I want more time to build my “empire” , build my business and develop my career. I need to take time to do this and make it a priority if I want to be successful and want to reap the rewards of my hard work. It’s something I want to do and something I need to do if I want to further myself in my profession.
What do you guys need to make more time for?

12.21.18

Can you admit when you are in the wrong?

  • Yes.

365 Days of Self Discovery: Day 109

12.20.18

Do you easily give up on things? Why is this?

  • Yes and no. I learned at a young age that in whatever I choose to do (sports, music, school activities/clubs) regardless if I was good or not, that I wouldn’t give up but finish til the end & always give it my all. Same with my education, I struggled with reading growing up (elementary school) and so my mom always worked with me to strengthen my reading skills and I was put in a special reading class in order to get extra help with reading — and she never gave up on me and I had to continue working on it (even if most days I wanted to give up) and it paid off, because I became a phenomenal reader and excelled in reading each year after that. I use this same mindset in my adult life but sometimes I have to walk away from something for an extended amount of time to rethink things or to take a break from it in order to come back to it with a positive mindset again. I always TRY, and never give up, but have learned that sometimes taking a break from something can be good for the mind and cause less stress in the long term of things.
I am sure some of you have given up at least once in your life or have thought about giving up — doesn’t mean you give up easily or maybe it does? Are you the type to give up easily?
