800 followers .. and counting..

Heyyyy everyone!

I wanted to make a fun announcement by sharing with all of you, that I made it to 800 followers & my subscriber list has increased as well. I am so excited, this means a lot to me – not necessarily the number itself, but the reasoning behind this number.  For some reason I have been cool enough to gain followers who love engaging with me and showing maximum support on my blog, YouTube channel and other social media outlets. Not only is this number representing the amount of readers I have, but it stands for how many people actually enjoy my blog (hopefully this is why you followed me) this means a lot to me, because it is hard to make content and make it daily like myself.. topics sometimes can get dry and may seem semi repetitive at times and being a fitness/health blogger among other bloggers who write about the same things can make it harder for me to “stand out” among the busy crowd.

If you would have asked me last month if I had seen myself hitting 800 this month, I would have told you “no” because of the fact I thought I had not produced as good of content as I normally would have, and I knew faithful followers would probably not enjoy that aspect, but luckily for me, I kept all of your attention and have amazing people following me, who are patient and very supportive of everything that goes on in my life that I share with all of you. It is really hard to get a good following for myself because I have to cater to not only fitness/health readers but people outside of my niche who would be interested in reading my post and sometimes that makes things more challenging because I want everyone to feel welcomed on my page all the time and I want those of you who don’t workout or eat “clean”, to not feel like my blog is catering to only one kind of person or demographic – in all honesty it caters to a whole rage of people for different reasons. While I do keep on the topics of fitness/health and try to expand into mental health, personal experiences, stories, etc. I don’t always hit my mark with everyone, but I do always try to engage everyone; especially when you first follow me, I want to know what you are about and by learning that, I can somewhat help myself by making post that might catch your attention. This is  work in progress, but everyday I challenge myself and my writing ability in order to make all of you want to keep reading what I have to say.

It has been a great blessing to have all of you, and to have spoken to a lot of you during my writing career as well, many of you have been a great help, turned into friendships, and have been very blog positive on my page – Thank you greatly. Like I said, I don’t always hit my mark with everyone who passes by, but I really try to make some of my blog post fun and engaging so that other people outside of this field or niche will not feel intimidated or feel like they can’t relate because health is important to everyone, it is part of you and it is important that you realize this- so that you never take advantage of it or do minimal damage to it. I honestly thank all of you and sorry for the long post, but each time I get 100 more followers, I feel the need to do a grammy award speech (these won’t be going away) lol.

If you haven’t already, tell your folks about me, I am a cool gal, and I love reading your blog post and being a part of your journey’s and adventures, so always feel free to email me or talk to me on social media or whatever it may be, never be shy on this page – and if you haven’t already crack a few jokes at me during my YouTube videos 🙂

“Habanero Pepper” Challenge (YouTube video) Warning: Would not recommend

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQv7DgunATg

I did this challenge because Christianweightlosssucess nominated me for it after I told him that I enjoy hot/spicy food. I did not know what all to expect since I have never had issues with hot foods. I had watched videos of other YouTubers doing this challenge and everyone had the same reactions (panicking and their mouths burned up) – I not only did this challenge, but unlike the many others, I ate TWO habanero peppers, not just one. I will say this, never again will I take part in this challenge (not even for a redo) – use my video to spread awareness, because I would NOT recommend anyone do this challenge, let alone eat two whole habaneros, because it was painful and took awhile for my pain to finally come to a hault.. I had to leave the room and stop the camera because I was in so much pain. Lesson learned, do not ever listen to this guy Christian – for pay back, I nominated him for this same challenge, hopefully he gets to feel my burn. Otherwise, I do not want all my followers/readers to take part in this challenge because it isn’t fun and I don’t want harm to come your way, seriously. This was my first time eating a habanero pepper, and  I didn’t enjoy the taste too much! lol ..

Valentine’s Day Couple Workouts –

Happy Day Before Valentine’s Bloggers,

I realize that tomorrow will be Valentine’s day and many of you will be spending time with your significant other or spouse BUT don’t let this keep you from getting a workout in, as a matter of fact, in honor of Valentine’s day for all you couples out there (or if you will be with friends) I am going to list some exercises you can do together. Who said the gym doesn’t make for a good date? — am I the only one wouldn’t mind it? lol.  I am THAT kind of girl, but since I will be single , I won’t have as much fun as you guys (but that is okay, I am still going to get my workout in nonetheless). This list isn’t exclusive, so there are other exercises that can be done with a partner or friend, but just to name a few:

Exercises done with someone you love:

  1. Squats in sync – holding on to each others hands while squatting (opposite sides not next to one another)
  2. bodyweight partner press – depending on how strong each of you are
  3. Double crunches: this requires VERY VERY GOOD core strength, so only attempt if both of you possess this (one person wraps legs around their partner’s waist and does crunches, partner is standing the whole time)
  4. Partner curls
  5. Alternating box jumps
  6. Partner push up – one person will stand over their partner’s back with their hands on the upper back and apply some resistance as the other does their push ups
  7. Push up high fives
  8. Partner seated medicine ball twist – I have done this one!
  9. Partner superman – facing your partner and palms touching
  10. Partner resistance band chest press
  11. Squat with rotational pass
  12. Russian Twist pass- I have done this one
  13. Sit up medicine ball pass- I have done this one
  14. Forward-backward lunge with pass
  15. Wheelbarrow push-up with squat
  16. Push up with shoulder tap
  17. Reach and touch plank
  18. Side plank with rotation and clap
  19. Jump squats with clap
  20. Plank hold and jump- I have done this one!
  21. plank hold and burpees – I have done this one and it is no joke! lol
  22. Partner split lunge
  23. Partner resistance band triceps extension
  24. Partner glute raises
  25. Partner leg lifts

Yoga Poses You can do with Two:

  1. Forward and back bend pose
  2. Stacked child’s pose
  3. back bending cobra pose
  4. Dancer Duo pose
  5. Seesaw
  6. Huddle pose
  7. Double tree pose
  8. Double boat pose

Now of course, there are many other Yoga poses one can do with a friend or lover, and some are more challenging than others, so it is worth looking into whatever works for the both of you. Hopefully both of these list can add some fun, possibly more intimate ways of spending time with one another. Have fun!
